This poem is an adaptation from a book entitled "Shattered Mirror" by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.

Deep black eyes, pale face,
A facial so well defined...
Elegant and talented,
Artistic they are,
But all is just a shattered dream.
An antique mirror it once was,
But now, a pile of glass pieces its reduced.
When the truth was known!
Mere people they are not --
Blood sucking leech, a creature of the dark --
Vampires!
